Lewisville man sought in Aug. 8 hit-and-run fatal

By Mitch Mitchell LEWISVILLE — Police are looking for a 19-year-old Lewisville resident in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred on Aug. 8.Two felony warrants have been issued for Ricardo Ramirez Arroyo, a man suspected of fleeing the scene of the crash in a black Chevrolet Tahoe that was recovered by police on Friday, a news release said.Roy Torres, 42, of Arlington, was killed in the collision, and a woman who was a passenger on his motorcycle was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas where she is still recovering from her injuries, police said.About 3:55 a.m. on Aug. 8, authorities responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a Tahoe at Texas 121 Business and Bellaire Boulevard in Lewisville.At the scene, police found a fog light housing that contained one fog light which mounts below the front bumper and a Chevrolet "Bowtie" logo from the front end of the truck.Anyone having information on Arroyo’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Lewisville Police Department at 972- 219-8477 or Denton County Crime Stoppers at 800-388-8477.
