What Grade Oil for the gearbox.
Can anyone please help me. I have a 1992 GN 250 The gears are a bit sticky I need to know the grade of oil for the gearbox and how much it holds. Thank you in advance.

Can anyone please help me. I have a 1992 GN 250 The gears are a bit sticky I need to know the grade of oil for the gearbox and how much it holds. Thank you in advance.
The workshop manual recommends SAE10W-40 , however it will depend upon environmental temperature range. For an oil change you'll need 1.3 litres. If you're doing the filter as well make it 1.4 litres. If completely stripping down you might need up to 1.7 litres.
